Fish June 4
Syntax is similar to weaving process. Text and textile share the same root. Weaving secret speech. Odyssey - women got their voice through weaving. Indigenous weavers of Bolivia saved culture through the wearings.
Fish: living content of fluid medium, the unconscious of the psyche. Earlier vertebrate half billion years ago. Pisces- one fish goes down the other goes up symbolizing the conscious and the unconscious.
I found inspiration by looking up words and images in books that describe the symbolic meanings of objects. As well as Active Imagination.
Writing: Syntax is similar to weaving because they have rules that must be followed or, in the case of speaking, won't be understood. Weaving will not be correct.
Swaying of hips: It seems like the opposite of writing. Swaying is moving physical; writing is mental. But a play on the word hip, hip can also mean informal trendy, cool, with it, in, hot. Swaying can be soothing because you can sway to your own "beat."
Permission: "wielding power because of position, authority, or ownership." Who is the person I need to get permission from? I am doing something I really want to do, but I don't feel powerful enough; I feel it is okay, but don't trust myself.

Words across the forehead- marked -over frontal cortex The ashes on Ash Wednesday. “"For you were made from dust, and to dust you shall return." Forehead covers the frontal cortex. Many cultural meanings of tattoos. Painting onto your flesh- show individuality or of belonging to a group. Indian women have marks on forehead. Words across the forehead defines the person. That person is attached to the word. Need to keep thinking about the words written on a forehead that repel the virus.
“an infective agent that typically consists of a nucleic acid molecule in a protein coat, is too small to be seen by light microscopy, and is able to multiply only within the living cells of a host.” The virus is ingenious, no morality, pervasive, at first seemingly uncontrollable. In August, I went out more, to grocery stores, pharmacy. I felt a little bit more comfortable.
a piece of code which is capable of copying itself and typically has a detrimental effect, such as corrupting the system or destroying data.”
Covid: In August we didn’t know much about the virus, and it was scary to not know. It was so infectious in my mind that I had problems watching TV at times because I felt uncomfortable because they weren’t wearing masks. I did a couple of paintings of a masked sculpture. There were lots of meanings of masks.
